Concept:
Rising Forms is a ceramic vase inspired by the architecture and core values of Qatar Foundation. The design features a signature slit, echoing the iconic openings in the Foundation’s buildings and symbolizing a spirit of inquiry and research. Window-like patterns across the surface represent education and the transmission of knowledge, while the vase’s flowing, organic curves draw from the Foundation’s open park spaces, expressing a sense of community, growth, and connection. Together, these elements create an object that embodies unity through both symbolism and form.

Production:
The vase is crafted using a slip-casting process, transforming liquid clay into a precise, durable form. This technique allows for intricate detailing, such as the slit and patterned windows, while ensuring structural integrity and consistency. Each piece is carefully finished by hand, highlighting the tactile quality of the ceramic and reinforcing the theme of craftsmanship, collaboration, and material transformation.
